Emissions capture technology from Alcoa

Major Aluminium producer of Australian Alcoa is here to launch a new kind of technology today that will be able to capture greenhouse gases that are emitted from its own refinery in Kwinana in Western Australia. This is believed to be a highly strategic effort in the direction of combating environmental pollution of the earth's environment.

Managing director Wayne Osborn of Alcoa has informed that the process of capturing emissions that are harmful for the environment will prevent 70,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) being released into the atmosphere every year from the company's manufacturing base, which is equivalent to taking more than 17,500 cars off the road.
