Blue ear pig disease affecting China’s pork market

Blue ear pig disease is affecting the overall stability of China’s pork market. The disease is not properly getting controlled.

Blue ear pig disease is caused by a variation of the Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS) virus.

Industry officials said that farmers, who do not receive any compensation for destroying sick pigs may sell the meat in the market due to lack of supervision and speculation on behalf of the government bodies and preventive system.
