DirecTV 11 Satellite Launches very soon

DirecTV is already leading the industry with the number of HD channels they provide, and the Sea Launch says the new satellite will boost DirecTV's capacity to 150 national HD channels.

It is a matter to note that Sea Launch has issued a press release stating that DirecTV's newest satellite, DirecTV 11, is scheduled for a March 17 launch. The company will also be capable of supporting spot beams carrying 1,500 local HD channels. At launch, a Zenit-3SL vehicle will insert the 5,923 kg (13,058 lb) DIRECTV 11 satellite into geosynchronous transfer orbit, on its way to a final orbital location of 99.2 degrees West Longitude.
