iPhone SDK from APPLE

The newly announced SDK from APPLE for iPhone will allow developers the chance to use the same APIs and tools that Apple says it uses in-house to develop iPhone applications. Apple has said that rather than build a new piece of code for developers to build applications it has merely enhanced it current set of Mac OS tools such as Xcode and Cocoa.

Applications will be available to download directly from the iPhone via a new store Apple is calling the App Store. Apple will charge developers $99 to publish applications and take a further 30% of the revenue, however Apple has said there will be no charge for applications that are offered for free to end users.
