TD-SCDMA handset tests in eight cities by China Mobile

There is a report in the tech market place that the China Mobile company has taken an initiative and has begun the testing process of more than 20 very types and kinds of TD-SCDMA-compliant handsets in eight different cities all across the whole country of China.

China will operate true commercial networks that will be compliant with its homegrown TD-SCDMA third-generation mobile standard in the third quarter of the current year, with almost 20 mln units of these tech based handsets to enter the market at that time all across the china .

Units being tested include those from ZTE, Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics, which passed initial tests covering some core technologies.
