Higher cancer risk found in HIV/AIDS and kidney transplant patients

Higher cancer risk found in HIV/AIDS and kidney transplant patients

There was a recent study that was conducted by a researcher team which was led by the honorable Professor Andrew Grulich positioned at the famous and highly knowledged University of New South Wales' National Centre in HIV Epidemiology and Clinical Research (NCHECR). This was a very important study so as to identify the overall cancer risk present in aids patients as well as in case of Kidney transplant patients.

The study conclusively found that in both the cases of these populations, it was cancers that were associated with the human papilloma virus, widely ranging from from the cervical cancer to different other kinds of cancers.

In this specific study, the researcher scientists worked on comparing the overall cancer rates that existed between these HIV/Aids infected patients and specifically the kidney transplant patients as compared to the general population.
