Sony Handycam HDR-CX7 and HDR-SR7 review

Sony launched two new high-definition Handycam HDR-CX7 and HDR-S camcorders with 3-megapixel photo capture and one with 2-megapixel capture.

Review :

The Sony Handycam HDR-CX7 and HDR-SR7 use a one-third-inch, 3-megapixel CMOS sensor.

Both of Sony's new handycams HDR-CX7 and HDR-SR7 can output images interpolated up to 6 megapixels.

The Handycam HDR-SR5 uses a one-third-inch, 2-megapixel CMOS chip and outputs photos up to 4 megapixels.

The extremely compact CX7 records 1080 video in the AVCHD format on Memory Stick PRO Duo memory cards. This is the best feature of the handycam. The larger SR7 and SR5 record 1080 AVCHD video on built-in hard drives with 60GB and 40GB capacities, respectively.
