Sony HVR-Z7J Professional-use HDV from Sony

Sony has made the launch of their new lineup of HDVs for professional-use in the marketplace. The new HVR-Z7J from Sony is an interchangeable-lens model. The new Sony HVR-Z7J comes with a memory recording unit as standard equipment built inside the system. The HVR-Z7J model supports traditional HDV1080/60i and DVCAM/DV 480/60i recording modes as well as the HDV 1080/24p and 30p progressive modes as required by the professional marketplace.

The Sony HVR-Z7J comes with a Carl Zeiss lens that has a 12x optical zoom and a focal length of 32.0-384mm. This Carl Zeiss lens features auto focus and an optical image stabilizer compensation function and is interchangeable. The attached memory recording unit can store HDV, DVCAM, and DV video files on compact flash cards required by the professional.
