The new iPod touch, with models priced at $299 and $399, will be available later this month. The new iPod nano, available today starting at $149, has a 2-inch screen that can show album cover artwork, photos and videos and offers game playing.

So at present, the new products from Apple include an iPod touch, which resembles the iPhone and features a similar touch-screen interface, the new iPod nano, now with video playback facility and then the iPod classic, which also features a video screen and can hold up to 40,000 songs.

The new iPod touch is the first iPod with Wi-Fi, or wireless Internet access, tailored to a small screen.
