UASD Software for blind students - virtual bibliographic services

There was a news floating in the marketplace that the autonomous university of the Santo Domingo central library has taken in an innovative step in the direction of offering by the bibliographic services for the blind and people having problem with their eye sights. The university is here to offer virtual bibliographic services for such people by the incorporation and installation of a new kind of software in the Dominicana and general reading rooms.

The most important part of this new addition is the fact that the software program that has been installed has the capability to interpret all the text that is provided to the software on a computer terminal. The software then interprets and transmits all the information in the form of audio to the user that may be having a hearing problem or an eye sight problem .

The software also comes with the special keyboard for such people so that the people can use the computer terminal as well as a software on their own without the support of anybody else in the library. This will enable people to use the software efficiency and as much as they want so that they can in the best use of the bibliographic services which are being offered by the library of the university.
