Memory Chips for Mobiles from Toshiba

There was a recent news in the technology marketplace that Toshiba has recently made an announcement regarding the launch of a new series of embedded NAND based Flash memories for use for the mobile phones that will be offering both kind of configurable single-level cell (SLC) memory area as well as a multi-level cell (MLC) memory area for the mobile systems and this will be able to allow all mobile applications and data stored in the mobile handsets to be stored safely on the same chip on the mobile phone handset.

Apart from this, parallelly, a logical block address access (LBA) controller, that has been incorporated inside the new mobileLBA-NAND memories come up with a unique control function that is capable of addressing both SLC and MLC.

These new mobile phone memory chips from Toshiba also support a standard NAND flash interface, which means that these chipsets can be very easily be introduced inside the current generations of mobile handset products in the marketplace.
