The marketplace is here to change and new player is here to enter the market place. At their developer day, Google has come up and launched a directions API – which is certainly not been taken as a big surprise by the marketplace. It was totally expected from Google the with the directions API sooner or later.

The Google API is being made available for the developer community to get directions for the countries including USA , Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Australia. Google has promised to the developer community and the users of the Google API that more and more countries will be added to the Google Maps as Google maps expands its operations covering all those new countries.
