With the vent hole repositioned, the Snare drum has a fatter sound, balancing the significant high-end cut delivered by the nine-plus-eight ply configuration.

The GMS 20th Anniversary Snare Drum does feature a nine-ply ash shell that is comprised of 8 plies of North American white Ash with its outer ply of highly figured North American olive ash burl.

Eight-ply North American maple retainer rings are beveled on both upper and lower edges to mellow sonic reflection inside the shell.

Finishing touches include GMS's new Special Edition snare drum lugs and classy 20th anniversary logo embedded in the lacquer.
