Coca-Cola launches research center in China

Coca-Cola has opened the Coca-Cola Research Center for Chinese Medicine in Beijing. The company has set up lab facilities to experiment with new Chinese herbal flavors for Coke and other beverage products. Working side by side with scientists of the academy, Coca-Cola has informed that its researchers will focus on beverages using Chinese herbal ingredients and formulas.

Coca-Cola currently operates 37 bottling plants in China for the production of 16 different brands of beverage sold in the country, including Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta, Smart, Qoo, Nestea, Bing Lu, Modern Tea Workshop, Sensation (bottled water), etc.
