New Roomier jet aircrafts from Comair
Comair unveiled the first of its fleet of 76-seat jets to its staff today, aircraft that should provide a higher revenue stream for the carrier because of its inclusion of a 12-seat first-class section, a first for the regional airline.
The jets, made by Montreal-based Bombardier, include added cargo space and baby-changing tables in the bathrooms, plus the 12-seat, first-class section. As part of the arrangement, Comair will sell 14 of its 50-seat CSJ-100 aircraft to Bombardier.
The seats, which sit a standard 31- to 32-inches apart, seem roomier than average, but it may be because Bombardier designs the seats to have a cutback in the back
