New IP Video Surveillance Products from Optelecom-NKF

Optelecom-NKF, launched a new group of IP-based video surveillance products developed by Optelecom-NKF and based on Texas Instruments' DaVinci digital media technology.

Optimizing the DaVinci digital media SoC processing performance, Optelecom-NKF developed a methodology for combining multiple compression algorithms for video and audio including MPEG-2, MPEG-4, M-JPEG, G.711, and AAC into a single IP/Ethernet output stream.

The small form factor of TI's DaVinci processor, combined with its extremely low power dissipation, allowed Optelecom-NKF to develop its next generation IP-surveillance products in extremely small packaging.
