Retinoschisis is not a common eye disease. Retinoschisis is very rare and is identified by a very abnormal is splitting of the retina's light sensory layers. Retinoschisis generally affects the outer layers of the retina.

Retinoschisis is the syndrome which causes acute loss of vision right at the center of the vision making the patient unable to see things right at the center of the vision. This is a very abnormal defect of the eyes that should be very seriously treated by an expert eyes specialist or else the patient suffers with this eyes defect for the rest of one's whole life.
