Ultra-dense optical storage on the way - image stored on single photon

John Howell, assistant professor of physics at the University of Rochester claims that they've successfully stored an entire image data on to a single photon and then retrieved the whole image data back from that photon. This opens up new doors to ultra-dense optical storage area where individual photons will be holding up megabytes of information onto themselves, thanks the the new ultra-dense optical storage technology coming up.

John Howell has claimed that its possible to store megapixels of information on to a single photon and then retrivet he same back in the future. With that, a single spike of light will hold and carry gigabytes and terrabytes of information in the next information age.
